프랑스 남부 알프스 샤모니에서 수 십 년간 스키 강사로 지낸 프랑수아 비아(57∙샤모니 골프클럽 재무이사)씨는 
35년 전 스키를 타다 허리를 다친 후 지금까지 고생 중이다.

병원에서는 딱히 수술을 할 상황도 아니니 정 못 참겠으면 진통제 먹고 물리치료나 받고 
너무 힘들면 안정을 취하라는 얘기만 들었을 뿐 근본적인 치료를 받아본 적이 없다.

비아씨는 "의사들은 수술을 해야 할 상황인지 아닌지만 체크했다"며
"그들은 내 삶의 질에 대해서는 전혀 관심이 없는 듯 보였다"고 말했다.

그러다 올해 초 한국의 LPGA 선수 중 한 명이 허리 시술을 받고
별 무리 없이 다시 골프채를 잡는 것을 보고 수소문 끝에 우리들병원을 찾았다.
